Regional Transport Plans, Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads 

The Department of Transport and Main Roads is working with state and local government and other key stakeholders throughout Queensland to develop a series of Regional Transport Plans. These plans will guide the planning of an efficient and responsive transport system in Queensland over the next 15 years. Priority's for the plan includes

  • system that connects communities

  • system that supports economic growth and access to markets and destinations 

  • system that is safe

  • system that is sustainable and resilient

Sustainable Freight, South Australian Freight Council initiative 

The Sustainable Freight initiative is being undertaken in a wider context of heightened national interest in sustainable practises. While there is much debate about the impacts that transport and logistics is having on the environment and whether these impacts could or should be mitigated, it is clear that the environment is increasingly becoming part of the ongoing transport and logistics narrative.

Linfox GreenFox – Delivering Sustainably 

Linfox have been working since 2007 to reduce their carbon emissions by more than 50% through a variety of practices and are now aiming towards zero net emissions. Initiatives include:
